What is the basis anyway for calling it a year for bitcoin? Because if the big changes on pricing then I would say that 2016 is the year of bitcoins because the halving will take place on that year. 2017 price will be stable and more adopters will come in.

It should be perfect if it will be the year of the Bitcoin and that is because the value of Bitcoin was stable for a long time and we waited a long time to get some profit.
But nobody will ever know what will truly happen with Bitcoin but that is just a prediction.

IMO the impact of halving not be too pronounced this year, but chances are it will be felt in the year 2017 so that we could see higher prices in the year 2017, when it reached $1,000 more yes we would say 2017 years bitcoin

And it's result will be seen on the year of 2017.
