Seriously though, why assume that BTC has to see 1000% growth again? It already has a healthy, upward trend. Besides, all altcoins that eventually gain recognition see that same exponential growth at first. Be happy with 100-150 dollars/year price increase.

that's just not how it works.

you might think that a steady growth is good, but it's not.

look up adoption curves of literally anything, and you'll see that it is ALWAYS exponential.

It either growth exponentially or it dies of, there is no middle ground.

Bitcoin will either keep growing exponentially until everyone uses it, or it will die.

it's as simple as that.
