It really should be no problem. We use the SI unit system, which is used universally in science. Everyone is already familiar with megabyte, gigabyte and terabyte, the last 'petabyte' is a bit exotic, but it's only the total number, so should not be hard for people to grasp.

like a human

or like a machine

1Mi = 1024 Ki = 1024 x 1024iotas = 1.048.567 iotas ?

I thought Iota is Ternary and not Binari. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ternary_numeral_system).
There must be an equivalent.

First one is correct. 1 Mi = 1 000 000 Iotas
