I am confirmed a LOW LEVEL nerd.
I know we are risking getting red carded for going off topic here...
...but one of the question was so intriguing to me... I thought all of them are real programming languages... some experts please shed some light?
Which of the following is not a real programming language?
1. BASIC
2. C++
3. PASCAL
4. Assembly
5. FORTRAN
6. COBOL
I don't think assembly is a programming language.
Edit: I think it is a machine language.
Well long ago and far away (1979 Diego Garcia, Indian ocean) I had a Navy computer repair tech write a program in Assembler machine language, but an
assembly what was we went to when the two of us got a commendation from the captain of our ship for solving the pc problem.
So I would guess an
assembly is a group of people not a programer language.
Wow...very clever, Phil. Luv it. I wasn't going to say anything because I thought maybe "Assembly" was a typo (really common one). I had to write some routines in my first computer training in 1960 in assembler...but that was back when we used paper tape and the original FORTRAN (where you had to construct your own "DO" loops). We thought it was such a big deal when we got card punches/readers.
