I'm literally lost with this puzzle. I once checked this puzzle out when it was just a fresh thread but I easily gave up because I was going literally no where. Tried out your suggestion about flipping the map and still not a clue. I guess these things are really not for me.

I'm guessing this hasn't been solved yet. Has anyone solved it?

I'll try to give it a shot. Hopefully there's 1 BTC at the end of this.
