It just became popular. I remember that when I joined this forum you could pick a decent prediction after half an hour (these days if you wait that much you will end predicting a 13 - 4, at best ). I think those are not Directbet alts, but other users'; if you have the time you might check if among the winners there are alts!

I do agree that the format should be changed, maybe adding more matches to predict (and allowing to repeat results like when predicting hockey, checking 3 or 4 pages to see if an outcome has not been posted is boring). Another possibility would be predicting home, draw or away for N matches (N decided based on the number of participants). Any format that is more inclusive and removes the advantage of not having a life and being 24/7 checking for DirectDice's posting.

In the end, as Shulio implied, it is up to Directbet staff to decide whatever they want to do.
