I've been in this situation. Best thing to do is put the miner or miners away from the window. I have 2 s7's and I used to place them right next to the window with a fan blowing air directly out of the room. I noticed that it was really loud when I would listen to it from outside. Put the miners at the far end of the room, next to the door and you will notice that the noise will be a lot less than before if hearing from outside. good luck

you can also try putting the frequency to 525-600 with fan at 70-80% you gotta play with it a little.

Tomorrow I'll buy the duct, and the only place I can put it is my balcony, so I don't have much choice) I'll play with freq/fan speed and compare results for noise/temp
