And pretends that Vericoin's theft never happened. And pretends that even Vitalik and every one admits PoS requires checkpoints to deal with the Long Range attack problem.

Can PoW coins Hard Fork, Answer is still Yes.
Both PoS & PoW coins can use or not use Checkpoints.
