I guess if you mean stop gambling to a gambler that his day is not complete if he didn't gamble its like you said stop living. But if you want to quit gamble for good better not holding money to make sure you cannot gamble anytime and make something different from what you did before except gambling. Like more focus to your family or work.

Addicted person can also quit in gambling in a right way, I think they can do it if they really want to and I don't think they will not hold money for a while because I think we need money all the time. Money is all we need in this world right? How can we suppose to continue our life without money?
