It is very hard to say that a gambling can be profitable in long term. Because that is hardest way of getting profit. And we don't know what is going to happen.

So, even in sports betting even we know the team that we are going to bet our money everything can turn into upside down or circle in round.

Just like the NBA Finals this last season, CAVS vs GSW. We though that GSW has all the chance, but it changed in the end.

I think it is easy to see that gambling is not profitable in the long run otherwise people would use gambling as an investment.
Comparing betting and gambling is not the same. Betting can definitely be more profitable in the long run if you keep calm and don't lose your head or it can become just like gambling if you don't know what you doing and don'y proper;y think through your next move.
