First of all you need a tor client, since most of the dark places work on a .union extention. Then you also need a 'dark' mailadress
so you can't be traced.

It's a handy site, although I am not a fan of darknet sites or the darnket, it is intriguing to read about it.

Yes he's wrong since all members In this forum isn't a newbie to darknet even their rank here is newbie but they're more knowledgeable than us regarding the things in darknet. So you musnt generalize that all of us here is newbie. Surfing deeper to darknet is dangerous if you don't know what you're doing, They might trace you if you don't know the safety precautions before surfing deeper.
