Hilary Clintons pledge is just a political strategy to attract more voters and for her to win the next election. But this is a good news to bitcoin industry, government backing up bitcoins will increase bitcoins stability in the market. I foresee an increase in bitcoins price if Clinton will win the presidency and I hope she will win so it will benefit us bitcoin users.

Not a huge fan of hilary clinton but have to agree that any huge public figure backing bitcoin is really great news. Kinda hurts the cool
factor if governments start backing it but imo I like anything that gives people more peace of mind and stability

Governments and politicians will never back Bitcoin, control over monetary system is one of the pinnacles of government, and probably the most important one. They will do everything they can to preserve that power, they will "support" cryptocurrencies by creating private blockchains, they will try to put pressure on coin developers and so on.
