We have trialed it before and know some of the difficulties of doing that
From what I read, the exchange was done by 2GIVE in a bit of a difficult way as it relied on a user to do the exchange, where we would automate it, just like an exchange in real time, but closed off to only these dying coins.

We would be setting up nodes to get the network back online and after that, we would hope that the coin in question has a loyal enough following that it can start mining again.
At some stage, it will be healthy enough to go it alone and by then, we would have promoted our coin and also helped revive another coin in the process, so dont assume we dont get anything out of it.
