Agreed, I am from India too and I don't think that bitcoin is too popular yet, there are very few people who are using it and its hard to find any shop to use bitcoins directly at a moment.

I think the popularity of bitcoin can be viewed from a variety of things you can see around your bitcoin users. if the user bitcoin pretty much around you is very likely bitcoin already popular in your area. and you can see a lot of stores that accept bitcoin as a payment method

But its hard to know who is using it and who is not, as you cannot come to know the actual number of users using bitcoin and many of them prefer to remain silent and disclose that they are using it.

true, as indeed in the bitcoin no list the users who are using bitcoin. So we can't estimate the right thing, so we just do the calculation in accordance with what we see or analysis and that's not something the right guide
