I have that worries too, if you receive your money in bitcoin you cant spend it easily because the stores accepting btc as payment are just few and you have to still convert it first to fiat before you can use it buying food etc. what i like about that idea is indeed its very easy and less fee when sending btc.

Well, I am not feeding my family but I tend to spend my salary as soon as it arrives into my bank account. I think saving money is a habit that a person learns when he or she is a child. If I agreed to recieve my salary with BTC, I would at least have a chance to some actual saving.

However, in the short term your worries are on the point. The stability of bitcoin price is not to solved in near future. So any exchange that uses bitcoin as medium has to convert it to fiat unless they want to keep some of their profits in BTC, again with, saving purposes.
