A option to disable it/enable it wouldn't have any harm, and I don't think it would be very hard to code. As long as it's an option, and only an option, all players should be fine with it.

I still don't know what we will do with the t-shirts. Maybe some limited edition, personnal gift(with names), and others to sell.

You can give them away, for example to chatter with most messages since launch (design with name)
