Even 15-30% would be enough already, as you said we need money for our daily needs and expenses and putting up all of your assets on bitcoin would be risky because of unstable price of bitcoin. Most of us here does have high hopes for bitcoin to rise its price in the future.

Yes making investment into bitcoin with a lot of amount is very high risk, the bitcoin is still new in instrument of investments, it is need time for knowing, is it can survive and worth as instrument of investments or not.
