It is very hard to know what is going to happen to Bitcoin, but we should just be patient and we could get rewarded. And I definitely agree with you, 2016 was definitely not the year of Bitcoin, with the price dropping at the start.

I think we saw some best price of bitcoin in this year before the halving so we cannot say that this was the bad year for bitcoin and we may see much higher price as we get close to the end of the year.

You know why people say it's a bad year? Because they have bought their coins after the block halving because they were expecting the price to shoot up. And exactly that didn't happen. That's why they are disappointed in this year.

if you look in that direction last time price went up after halving in late October and early November if the path is the same then we can expect similar in next few weeks

Everyone is expecting higher price at the end of the year, and if that happens then that will be followed even in the next year, this year so far has been good for bitcoin as price almost doubled in compare to last year

So do I, I want to see a good price like $1,000 dollars or more, I will be very happy to see that, and I hope it will happen.

Bitcoin surely has an ability to achieve that price in future but no one knows when exactly that time will come as majority of users are holding their coins so that they can sell them at $1k price.
