I don't think there is anything to hate about that as if you add some extra fees then your transaction will get confirmed in very quick time, I have never faced any issue with that.

If eveybody add extra fees, there will be slow confirmation for everybody if the block size is not increased.

It's not about everyone paying high fees, just if you want it confirmed fast...

And well, if he's talking about the block time, maybe he can start to use some altcoin...
