It is already a currency so you don't have to make some magic spells for making bitcoin as a currency. And I like the things you have all said with bitcoin and all of that are true, that is why I keep on believing in bitcoin because of its decentralization it is not going to die as long as we are here the users of bitcoin.

I think he mean centralized currency because bitcoin is decentralize currency which is we can used only in online transaction and he want bitcoin would be like fiat that we can spend in small stores directly with physical coin/paper money.

We cannot easily compare bitcoin to fiat as bitcoin at the current time is only good for online transaction with a limited purpose due to limited support, people are using it most of investment and trading purposes but I have not get the benefits yet of buying and selling online as most of the things online are not my interest to buy it.
