I don't think they are the same as in all casino games you can't get over the house edge while in trading you can use your knowledge and skill to predict price changes. But sports betting also has room for decision making and skill so it's possible to be profitable from it over the long run.

i like you point of view regarding to sports betting as we all knew how skills and knowledge really attached from it in order for us to win like trading we also needed that skills and knowledge so we can easily predict what movements can the trade go and we can place our entry to trace and ern from it.

In sports betting sports can be manipulated as well as in trade, so I guess they are all pretty the same which it comes to determining our chances of winning. The only difference their is the juice on your winnings in sports betting as it is way higher which is mostly 10% of your winning bets compared to just 0.01% of the trading fees you will fee when you are trading.
