Fact is that all kinds of currencies and precious metals are being used to finance illegal activities, but still the media and average joe is blaming Bitcoin for this. Well, everything can be used for good and evil, just look at a knife, knifes are very useful tools try to imagine your life without valuable tool, but there are bad people out there that will use knifes to steal or worst.

totally agree with you, very good analogy with a knife. I think it depends on the wearer himself do not blame the object because it is just a facility which uses the full responsibility. so do not blame bitcoin for involvement in illegal transactions, because everyone is free to do anything with bitcoin.

It will not be bitcoin who will be help accountable but the person who are making illegal activities, bitcoin is just a means that we can use in transacting online and we should be even thankful that bitcoin is here, and do not abuse it by using it in illegal activities as though it has a good system you will be trade if authorities work.

What about those situations where some things are lawful in some jurisdictions but unlawful in others? Or, situations where things are illegal bet they really shouldn't be illegal? I mean....I can understand not abusing the technology by participating in immoral activities but what about using it to buy religious items in jurisdictions censored and controlled by tyrants and such?....Bitcoin is a viable alternative currency to bypass oppressive regulation. True?
