Seems like you are not able to connect to nicehash. Have you tried a different pool and see if you have the same issues?

Other pools are fine, Nicehash was fine upon closing and reopening the miner.. I lost internet access for 10 mins and miner refused to connect until I restarted them all - 5 hours later

Read the readme file and set the -r flag with a time like -r 60
