No. I fled the family and my country (Finland). My home (castle) is in Estonia.
always your family has your best interests in mind. If they see things vastly different than you and you are firm in your belief that you are right the least you could do is discuss this will some close friends to see where the disconnect is.
Operative word is "almost", I can tell you first hand that I was raised too fear and despise my father by a vindictive woman that went through four husbands and a son. Children believe what their parent tells them and if they are separated then they believe what the parent closest to them tells them. It took me 20+ years and a meeting I went to too kick my fathers ass that opened my eyes to learn the truth.
