Any currency is used for illegal activities.Bitcoin is used for this as well.

I don`t see a problem here.This might hurt bitcoin reputation, but a don`t see any major damage.

The ones hurting bitcoin reputation is the media, banks and governments, since its very obvious anything can be used for good and evil, bitcoin is only a tool, but since the powerful don't control it they cannot allow it to thrive or they could lose a chunk of their power.
