, are about the fact that a particular firmware, S9v1 has REALLY bad luck on the pool.
To the point where it is unlikely to just be "bad luck"

Does bitmain know about the bad luck of the S9v1 on this pool? I don't need it but I can certainly understand why some people need the manual frequency. I'm not saying it would ever happen but if enough people complained.(with the bad luck numbers) Maybe they would release a fw v2 with manual frequency.

Well I've told a BitmainWarranty guy who lives in the #ckpool IRC channel - he sees me regularly say the bad luck figures for quite a while Tongue

However, in the past any contact with BitmainWarranty has often not got to Bitmain in China or China just ignores it ...
I have on a few rare occasions spoken to someone in Bitmain China but I'm not fond of them and no doubt they feel the same way about me

Interesting comment today ... someone with over 100 S9 (something like 120 I think) said he gets 8 repaired ... each month ...

I asked the BitmainWarranty guy how many they repair each week.
Apparently he couldn't answer that Tongue

Are they over clocked?
Are they exausting the heat properly?
Is this at a place that hosts?
Or in their basement?
Any power surges?
Are they using two psu on one miner?
If so are they connecting them properly?

Lulz you prolly don't even know that about your own miners.

I do know his numbers are correct coz he has mined on the pool ...
He doesn't mess with the miners.
If you don't connect your miners properly, they don't work or die very quickly Tongue

I doubt anyone has 120 or so S9 miners in their basement ... don't ask silly questions.

Apparently losing internet is possible to cause the S9 to fail also (according to Bitmain)

That is certainly not a good rate.
Do they know what batches this is happening to?
Are these different miners each time or the same equipment failing?
