I thought that it was promising also, since a foundation and plans were already set in place to help promote and use NeuCoin on it's inception.

The devs never abandoned it as far as I can tell, and even put up with a lot of flak.
The ease of the dissolution shows proof of that at the moment also, (availability to withdraw coins, website still up, plenty of warning, resources such as wallets and availability of one's private keys if desired, etc...).

What I did not care for was the appearance of the investers'/founders'/foundations' 2,900,000,000 NEU being in competition with the amount made available to the general public (100 million) in regard to staking, also, that if one wanted to remove coins from the growth accounts early, interest was forfeited. Interest being proportional to time spent in them may have been better received.

They did a great job advertising and making NEU available though, really easy to try some digital currency.

Hopefully the decentralization, along with the destruction of the "excess coins" will be positive happenings for those still participating.
