The fans I bought are industrial grade noctua fans, 4 pin, is there any way to disable it's request for fan RPM? The fan is cooling it just fine as long as I leave the factory one plugged in and sitting there.
Alternatively I was thinking I might power the Noctua off of the PSU and set then fan speed for the board down to 0% if it'll allow that low, so far this is the only thing I can think of to get around this issue.
It's a rather stupid issue at that, especially when it has a fail safe to shut off is over 80 degrees, I don't see why fan RPM needs to be taken into consideration for these.

they will never work go look in the mirror and say damn I fucked up. say it a few times then buy a fan that works.
I mean it in all seriousness and I am kidding a bit.. I have had 50 fans and tested them some work some do not that is one that does not work.
The scythe works the sanyo ace works.
yeah it sucks but the noctua will not work.
