As I understand it, you can still deposit and trade BTC on Mt Gox without being verified. You are just limited in the daily withdrawals you can make.

There is a 50k USD limit.
Anyway, I would trust mtgox more than a person to person meetup for 100k.

why? just carry a gun and dont let him leave until 6 confirmations?
