What about all the people killed while conquering the promised land? Such as Canaanites, Midianites, Amalekites, and many others (the Old Testament is full of them). I know these are just stories, I don't believe the Jews were ever in Egypt. But a religion bragging about killing people, burning cities, rules about slavery, rape, etc. Is just sick.

I think the main reason we never hear about it is because it happened a few years before WW2... and in Russia.
We're still finding out about some of the crazy shit that went down in the USSR.
But none of it, even this, surprises me.
