It is true that Bitcoin is not a piece of paper, however it can be stored in a paper wallet, but it is still a form of currency. As more and more people know about it, they will talk about it, then their friends will talk about it and it will spread like a wild fire. Also, how is Bitcoin not as easy? If you are just a user and not mining, it is extremely easy to use Maybe not as easy as fiat where you can hand cash to someone, but it is not so hard that the majority of people can't use it.
