ethereium rise because of whales and poloniex, there is nothing that can explain about whales decision
another factor of etherium rising is miners enjoy about it so much some would buy more into it and hold. when people enjoy mining like ethereum, zcash or monero it would be hard for them to quite.

Then when whales will decide to dump and sell all the ETH coins?

the next whale would take another whale place
so many whales with so much money in this world
