The first way is just fine. Either way your account is going to have the same number. If there is an issue it will get ironed out. Unless you put the wrong account number then you will be fine. You can also use your mtgox username

Just someone who understand that customer service reps can become very overwhelmed when a bunch of assholes are here complaining and reposting and spamming and threatening to sue and all that shit.
