I think this storing bitcoins and all the offline/ cold storage thing being exaggerated/ over discussed, there is not much to it other than what it is.
Why don't you do your self a favor? just generate 50 addresses in bitaddress.org in offline mode since it uses your system's computational power to randomize the add-private key combination then store each address with their own private key and print them on paper then cut them in 50 rectangular pieces and send your bitcoins to any of them?
Don't worry no one is ought to steal your bitcoins if you are not shouting about them around.
