when you manually bought those coins you were 100% you were doing the right thing. Prediction is not a virtue we have yet: we need then to use another virtue, the patience.
The new release with the step-gain allows you to configure in the bot how down you want to push your bot before to buy and how high you want it to wait before to sell.

But yes: it is easy to be happy when we sell because we see the profit in our wallets, we should learn to be happy (and celebrate) when the price goes down to buy cheap coins.
