Same thing that other religious people cant force hindus to eat beef,just like that hindus cant force people of other religion not to eat beef.Every one has their own right to decide what to eat and what not to eat.

I do not think that it is necessary to talk about cosmic discoveries and religion at the same time. Once the world sees the aliens, the church will lose completely.

We don't even need to discover sentient life for that to happen. Even a single-celled organism found in any moon in the solar system should be enough to shatter the delusion for us human snowflakes who believe the universe revolves around us.

I wonder what sort of mental gymnastics they'll have to come up with to avoid facing that. Maybe "They are just like the animals made for us, just on a different planet,"? Or "These are the work of the devil/shaitan/flying spaghetti monster/etc to lead us astray. Have faith!"?
