I've never mined, but would be interested to try. It doesn't seem very n00b-friendly though: I see mining pools and settings, but it doesn't tell me what to download to start. Could you clearify this for me?
I got the mining pool to work. It gets me about 100 NBC per hour. But the Block reward is 500 coins, and in just an hour minerd outputs this:

Does that mean it found 16 blocks, which would total 8000 NBC? If that's right, the pool takes like 95%. In that case I'd be better off mining solo (but I don't know how).
