Is the initial micropayment for BTC address linking somehow payed back? Or is it regarded as some sort of fee?

It's not paid back. Having said that, another way of linking is by signing your Byteball address with your Bitcoin address and giving the signature to the transition bot, it won't cost a dime

Also, I'm wondering what would happen if I link different BTC address from single BTC wallet (like Ledger nano) to different Byteball addresses?
Will the previously linked BTC address automatically become invalid??
