Thank you, all of the projects I most admire use extreme transparency and this seems to multiply the value of their work (because many other smart people in the world can freely inspect the work and business and make criticisms, improvement, etc).

Yes! and this sorting of wheat from chaff will continue: established cryptos with fine reputations will look better and better to the 'outside' investors/users who are our future.

This is the wisest thing I've heard in ages. IndiaMikeZulu has specialised in community devving/'currency function' adoption, and has at times despaired at how insular communities have become. Whatever else goes on -- kudos to the more technically competent community members -- Reddit and Facebook and Bitcointalk and Groestl.org must be active, and welcoming of newcomers.
