Saving bitcoin for long time will benefit more but I think it depends on individual approach to make big profits. One can easily make more profits by through watch of the market and take right decision at the right time while other will wait for long time for price boost. For me its a good practice to watch the market and take appropriate decision and the right time.

I agree watching the market is mandatory if we want to play with the fluctuation. But if we are in for a long term, looking at it from time to time is enough. We are not selling our BTC any time soon so it would be a waste of time looking at the market movement every minutes. Aside from that long time holder is not affected by day to day fluctuation.

As the saying goes, good things come to those who wait, and in the case of bitcoin, great profits come to those who patiently hold their coins. Those who prefer to hold their bitcoins for long term are going to be rewarded handsomely. They can always trade a small portion so as not to get bored and just play with it and see if it gives additional profit while majority of their holdings is safely stashed in their cold wallets.
