I would say no, even bitcoin price goes up eventually the Altcoins will not go down thats because some of the altcoins out in the market are successful and won't hit bottom rock even if the bitcoin increases constantly, especially there are still investors that invested on legit Altcoins which still be organized and running. Still altcoins won't beat bitcoin in terms of price.

Altcoin stands for other cryptos, it is in general which means if some of the altcoins are not successful, it doesn't mean that others won't also succeed. It depends on the altcoin. The negative effects of the BTC's inflation are only limited to other altcoins and not as a whole. There are altcoins that follows when BTC rises. Maybe BTC won't kill alts , it will just have a higher value instead, and in most of the alts.
