Which currency do you need the bank transfer in?

He needs funds in INR. I am not sure what documents are you asking for sending funds to an Indian bank account.
He should be careful in accepting funds from you and make sure that funds are indeed coming from your personal bank account and you're not asking someone else to send these funds to his account.
