I thought this rise was because of japan accepting bitcoin, and it can be sustainable because of that same reason. Even if ETF rejection stands, I do not think it will have much effect on bitcoin price anymore.

Japan has definitely a major impact on the price, no doubt about that. I of course hope that whatever decision the SEC comes up with, that the price doesn't go down, but I don't think it's coincidence that the price got a massive boost after the review announcement. Next week we'll see what happens as the 15th of May will be the date to look forward to.

This time japan became a pioneer for the rise of bitcoin in the world. They have started a more advanced era than any other country. Japan will make a breakthrough to enter bitcoin become more official. This will definitely make the bitcoin price increase significantly.
