I believe both are different words with the same meaning. Gambling is just a term used for the overall activities of games were money something is risked hoping for better earning. Betting seems to describe a particular event were certain amount has been risked expecting big.

I also think like that, gambling and betting are two words that have a meaning but have the same meaning. Or maybe in my opinion, gambling is when you play a game and place a bet in it. While betting is when we put a bet on something and wait for the results. But overall, I think the same, both put up bets to get more.

lol it can be quite confusing sometimes to differentiate these two as betting is a form of gambling. so in a way, they're the same but gamblimg is the general form and betting is like a sub form. its like making a roll, or playing a hand in poker. they're all forms of gambling
