4-6 years is too short in comparison to the life-long trauma the boy will carry. He'd be on therapy for next few years and it's definitely going to hurt his social and romantic life later.

Eastern Europe has suffered centuries of occupation by the Turkish during the times of the Ottoman empire. There are pockets of Turks and gypsies spread all over the place and they're no better than the migrants from Africa and the Middle East. There are around 10 million gypsies in Europe and most of them are located in ghettos in Eastern Europe, that you'll be wise to never enter, especially at night and especially if you're a woman.
