First off, value is subjective.

In this case, I get four things out of the transaction:
* currency that I do value
* psychological satisfaction: enjoyment; I enjoy this idea so much that I've actually been enjoying just the thought of doing it, for days
* information: pricing data.
* psychological satisfaction: the gratification of providing this pricing data to the community

Now, I've given you something of value (information: the answer to your question) for free. How much was it worth to you? Next question I may suggest that I be compensated for providing valued information. Wink
