I'm new in this world but I would say it depends on your goals.

You can either:
- Put your money on an ICO

Do a lot of research and reading in order to assess if the project is worth it and has a good future
Some of them have good ideas but I don't know if they will/can succeed (Crypviser [Cybersecurity], SunContract [power contracts]...)

- Buy some new coins that make you enthusiast (I bought some coins that offer a good idea like Humaniq [Unbanked people], SingularDTV [Netflix like], Ardor [Nxt 2.0], GameCredits [Gaming platform - New project "MobileGo" on the launch])
- Buy some coins that already are on the spotlight (Stratis, Lisk, Waves, Eth, Nxt...)

We can never know but in my opinion (and it's only mine), when I invest I try to seek something disruptive !

Good list. For now, many people would tell you to go after Eth, Waves, LTC and Ripple, those are the promising coins as of late that are showing good signs of increase due to their developers' recent news about pumping and increasing the market caps of those coins.
