Why are we thinking that bitcoin will ever replace dollar, we all know that it is impossible, just think of it, whose government will accept these digital currency in their country as their currency, bitcoin has anonymity, it is decentralized. So that means they will not be in control of the government, and they will not accept that. And we all know that these fiats are also a way of knowing one's citizenship, it is important to a country. Bitcoin will just stay as a secondary currency.
Exactly. One thing for sure is that governments would want to have control over the issuance of money and the usage of the same, leaving Bitcoin out of the equation due to its decentralized nature. Thus, they would look for ways to design a digital currency of their own within a private blockchain managed by themselves.
Bitcoin on the other hand, would remain as an alternative for those people who want to stay away from the surveillance of governments, as well as those who are unbanked. While physical cash would no longer exist, we will participate in a cashless society driven by the economics of digital currencies. Just my thoughts.
