I think it's just polo against Waves. They didn't list it as they do with the big volume coins. Waves has got a lot of potential also (unlike LISK that is struggling but still listed on polo)!

it's some sort of discrepancy between sasha and the polo guy .. some sort of "do not start ico before we're not ready to trade waves on polo" and sasha didn't care and just started ico

thats why polo guys are offended and don't want to list waves and loosing a lot of cash day by day .. soon waves > polo

yeah, ultimately money talks and people patch up their differences when there's profit to be made.
