Agree but to be honest when the panic selling wave comes in to the market picture, it is very difficult for an new investors to keep calm and stay with his holdings. It works like domino and thus price falls drastically. Ideally, if someone has bought bitcoins for the long term then he should not worry about short term market movements. I used to find myself in panic selling wave in first few weeks of my investing.

The best practice is to not look at the prices, which is hard to do. Seeing the price change is what makes us emotional. it takes a lot of patience to be able to hold an investment and not look at the price. Just remember that if everyone is selling, you should be looking to buy more at lower prices.

To be honest, when a person is emotionally prepared to face the situation then it really doesn't matter if he is regularly checking the prices or not. However, if the invested capital or the expected returns are associated with the living of the investor then it would be difficult for him to stay away from monitoring the situation.
